Good old Economist, still pedling the old neoliberal myths of “deficit” and gamble. A nation’s budget is not like a household budget. $ is the world currency. There can never be too much of $. You can’t borrow in your own currency when you issue that currency. There is no gamble. Obama freaked out in 2008 and half measures gave us nothing but grief. Now Biden is doing the same. Invest, invest, invest. Austerity is a myth used to pump nation’s money upwards.

Audiobooks person,
That makes no sense whatsoever; there’s a limited amount of wealth in an economy. Given the growth rate, multiplier, etc. injecting some liquidity into the system will create seigniorage (actual wealth) but excessive money printing outpacing the growth rate will just cause inflation. This isn’t a conservative or liberal spin; it’s just basic economics.
